Outbound is a rapidly growing leader in the waste, junk removal, and haul-away business. With extensive growth all around northwest Arkansas, Outbound came to us looking for a new website and content, which quickly evolved to a more comprehensive brand refresh. They wanted to show up well for prospective and current customers, allowing them to easily navigate through each of their services and book a dumpster or junk removal service. From serving home builders to commercial contractors, we enjoyed learning about their needs and target customer. The Outbound team truly delivers with excellence and passion, and we wanted that to come to life through their website. We really focused on bringing their story to the forefront, all while highlighting the extremely quick turnaround times that they offer within the NWA region. 

Strategy

Website Design

When we first talked with Bryan (owner of Outbound), his vision for the their brand was to match grit with professionalism. The reality is that making dumpsters sexy is a miracle of a task... but if we can emphasize relational service, that will make all the difference in the world. The website design was anchored in a clean white layout with big images and rounded edges, but the website content was all about the customer and the people behind the dumpster, Team Outbound. One custom piece of development that we enjoyed working on was re-imagining their order forms and customer journey for those wanting to reserve a dumpster.

Video & Photo

The vision for video and photo was to bring life, heart, and energy to the delivery of a "can" (dumpster). Through some initial concepting, we wanted to show three perspectives: the customer's, team Outbound, and the dumpster! From a job site for junk removal to a drop and go location, we captured the team and the dumpster in a few locations.

For the dumpster, one of our favorite perspectives we captured was anchoring a camera rig to a dumpster and driving down the road with it - the goal being to show the dumpster's perspective. We used a car mount and gimbal to accomplish a camera angle showing the side of the dumpster with Outbound branding as well as the tires and road below. And with images, instead of trying to polish blemishes or remove the grit, we embraced it, showing the true realism and experience of dumpsters.

For the customer, we tried to emphasize the easy of use and the hospitality approach of the Outbound team. With a goal of same day delivery and/or pickup, we wanted to convey the stress-free service that Outbound provides, minimizing delays and work stoppage for the customers.

For team Outbound, we leaned into values, vision, and heart. With a little bit of wit and humor, Bryan did a great job of collaborating on a script and message that was both relational and talking directly to the needs and worries of the customer. The overall result was a message that felt trustworthy and relatable.

Deliverables

The final result of working Outbound was amazing. From launching a brand new customer experience on digital to a brand film that gives you goosebumps, the new Outbound message was loud and clear: we make your life easier one dumpster delivery at a time!
