The Story
Cabu was born from a dairy-intolerant coffee connoisseur in Colorado who dared to ask, “What if a latte didn’t need dairy to be delicious?” The result? A first-of-its-kind canned latte made creamy with cacao butter. No dairy. No oats. No soy. No business as usual.
The product was revolutionary. The packaging? Not quite doing it justice. And despite having a seriously good thing in the can, Cabu’s fan club was mostly limited to friends and family. (A loyal bunch, but not exactly world domination.)
Enter Revival. We saw the potential, grabbed a can, and got to work.
Great products deserve great branding. Especially when they’re doing something nobody else is doing.
We started by getting to know the people most likely to fall head over heels for Cabu. What do they drink? What brands do they love? Where do they shop, work, play, and spend far too much time scrolling? We dug into their habits, tastes, and cultural influences to uncover where Cabu belonged and how it could stand out.
We reimagined the packaging to capture Cabu’s quirky, confident spirit and gave it the shelf presence it deserved. The goal wasn’t to look like every other latte on the market. It was to make people stop, look twice, and wonder what the heck was in that can.
What began as a packaging redesign had a funny way of snowballing. Turns out, when you give a brand a personality, it needs a few places to show it off. We expanded Cabu’s identity into a full-blown brand experience, including website design, video production, photography, social content and management, in-store marketing materials, merchandise, and more.
From the first impression on the shelf to the last scroll on social, every touchpoint was designed to feel unmistakably Cabu. One cohesive look. A whole lot of character. Absolutely no beige energy.
Cabu didn’t need to become something it wasn’t. It needed a brand that finally looked and sounded like what it already was: quirky, playful, confident, and a little unexpected. We created a distinctive visual identity built to stand apart in a crowded category, celebrate the product’s unconventional ingredients, and connect with the people most likely to love it. Every detail was intentionally crafted for Cabu—from the packaging and color palette to the photography, illustrations, and broader brand world.
Because a first-of-its-kind latte deserves more than a pretty good label. It deserves a brand with just as much personality as the product inside.
